I have started adding portraits of the Golden Colony men, where I can find them. I have also started adding their parents, where known, to the Life Events section of each profile. If anyone has an image of any of the Golden Colony men, use the Contact form to let me know.

A WordPress plugin that I use for the Click here to show explanations function had been long discontinued and not presented a security risk. It was, accordingly, time to find a replacement that was being maintained. This I found and quickly replaced the relevant explanation code. This also gave me an opportunity to revisit the structure of all of the pages on the website, as it was possible to use this plugin to make . A lot of the data you see on each webpage comes from tables, using the fabulous TablePress plugin. This allows me to maintain the data in Excel, then upload to the website without having to edit a given web page. The new code uses the page’s slug (e.g. p1_akehurst_ap) to draw the data from the table. In other words, data from each table that is specific to that page. The only time I need to maintain a given page is when there is written text on a page, such as on the Research Notes.
