04⇑	Price was in England in March 1851 for the UK Census and his first Victorian Public Service appointment was on 4 January 1853. A couple of modern sources claim that he arrived on the HMS Vulcan with the British Army 40th Regiment. The Vulcan arrived on 19 October 1852, so the timing works, but I have not found anything to connect Price with either the Vulcan or the 40th. See Matthew Price's Military Service.
