Explanations:
Columns:PM (Police Magistrate), GC (Gold Commissioner 1851-1855), GW (Gold Warden 1855-1929), CCL (Commissioner of Crown Lands), and CP (Chinese Protector) show the Golden Colony roles that were affected by the legislation.
Number:The number of the law is the regnal year, monarch, and a sequence number. For example, 15 Victoria 15 is the 15th bill passed in the 15th year of Queen Victoria's reign (not calendar year). Initially, the sequence number was restarted each regnal year. From 1856 (in Victoria), the sequence number was within the sovereign's reign.
DocumentsThe PDF documents here are sourced from the Parliament of Victoria Parliamentary Papers Database and the Australasian Legal Information Institute . I have hosted them here due to difficulties with permalinks on those sites.
