Chinese Protectors as a separate office was abolished on 30 June 1860.
Anderson, Drummond, W H Foster, Hamilton, and Graham Webster ceased being paid as Chinese Protectors and joined their fellow Wardens as Wardens of the Gold Fields with the (unpaid) duties of Chinese Protector. Webster was also a Police Magistrate.

Notes
01 According to BB1860, Hamilton was appointed PM at Smythe's Creek on 1859-05-02, but paid as CP until 1860-06-30. However, the Mount Alexander Mail reported on 1860-12-59 that Hamilton had not acted as CP at Castlemaine since his appointment as PM and was not replaced.
